Annuities

Many agents would like to sell annuities to increase their revenue but few actually do it. There are a number of reasons for this but the majority fail to sell annuities for one of two reasons. The first being that they do not have an approach to introduce the concept to their clients and the second is that many agents do not feel they know annuities well enough to sell them.
The second problem can be resolved with a few easy training sessions. The first problem is the biggest barrier but there is a simple fix for that one as well. Through trial and error, we have figured out the best way to go about introducing the concept to clients. I will tell you that the biggest mistake is that sales people use the work "Annuity" when trying to introduce the idea which is almost always the wrong thing to do.

Life Insurance

Equitrust has a number of annuity products approved in most states (with the exception of NY). They have one of the more popular annuity products with the Equitrust Bonus Builder 6. This annuity is approved in most states, including tougher annuity states such as Connecticut. It provides a 6% bonus, guaranteed return of premium, competative income rider and all of the various index account options.

Health Insurance

GTL offers a hospital indemnity plan that can be sold to people over the age of 65. They also have a cancer and critical illness plan.
The products are available in most states except for NY. They pay commissions weekly on a 9 month advance. Please send in all pages of contract along with copy of E and O certificate and a valid insurance license. A void check should be sent in to establish the direct commission deposit. (All attachments below must be completed in order to be contracted)

Medicare

Touchstone Health offers a number of Medicare plans including full dual eligible and LIS level special needs plans. They are based in NYC and have networks in the city and surrounding boroughs.
Touchstone certification is completed via paper test. They have a compliance exam and a benefit exam. Contracting paperwork and tests are included in this blog. Email Ed Crowe at
